Every Day Matters at Nido Wandi
At Nido Early School Wandi, we are guided by the Reggio Emilia approach to children’s learning. We believe all children are capable, confident and competent individuals, and we support their emotional, social, physical and cognitive development through meaningful, play-based learning experiences.
We work in partnership with families to create a curriculum that reflects children’s voices, interests and individual learning styles, while honouring the 100 Languages of Children.
We value risky play, nature play and sensory exploration as essential components of development. Recognising the environment as the third teacher, children engage in outdoor experiences throughout all six Noongar seasons, fostering resilience, curiosity and a connection to the natural world.
We embrace messy play, water play and beneficial risk-taking as valuable opportunities for creativity, problem-solving and discovery. We are committed to educating children about the Noongar people and caring for Country, while fostering a positive and supportive One Team culture where children, families and educators learn and grow together.

Changes to the Child Care Subsidy
The 3 Day Guarantee. What does it mean for your family enrolling in 2026?From 5 January 2026, the Australian Government is updating the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to guarantee at least 3 days of subsidised early childhood education and care per week. This means that all CCS-eligible families will receive at least 72 hours per fortnight (3 days/week) of subsidised childcare regardless of their work, study, or volunteering status.
Since Nido Early School is a government approved childcare provider, if you are eligible for CCS you will be entitled to the new 3 Day Child Care Subsidy Guarantee on your fees.
