Feeding Body & Soul

Our kitchen, the Cucina, is the heart of our Nido Early Schools

A child can’t concentrate and learn if they are hungry and food also gives each child the opportunity to connect, socialise, feel joy and be inspired. Learning where food comes from, how to measure ingredients and make healthy choices is an integral part of what we offer to our children.

Our menus, all being of the highest quality whole foods and not containing any processed sugars, are developed by Nourished Beginnings. We also welcome feedback from both families and our children about their favourites, or what they would like to eat. We cater to all allergies, as well as cultural and dietary preferences and all Early Schools are nut aware.

Feeding the soul

Your child’s early experiences shape their brain development and lay the foundations for their mental health. We strive to promote psychological wellbeing and provide many activities to ensure your child is healthy and happy.

‘Feeling Fairies’ that come out to help in Nido Early Schools are one of our favourite ways to encourage our children to express their feelings.

We also offer other experiences to promote wellbeing, such as:

  • Creative Arts in our unique Ateliers
  • Meditation
  • Mindfulness
  • Yoga
  • Teaching self-regulation strategies
