Every Day Matters at Nido Rosanna

At Nido Early School Rosanna, we believe every child is capable, confident and full of potential. We recognize children from birth to six years as active learners who grow through relationships, play, exploration and meaningful experiences.

We view each child as an active contributor to their learning community and the world around them. We recognize that children arrive with innate curiosity, which is why we believe in the importance of providing opportunities to explore, discover and create.

We believe strong relationships are the foundation of learning and that parents and the wider community play an important role in shaping each child’s learning and development. We create a welcoming space where children, families, educators and the wider community feel a genuine sense of belonging.

We see the environment as an important tool in children’s learning and development. At Nido Rosanna, our learning spaces are carefully designed to be calm, inviting, and rich with opportunities for exploration, discovery and collaboration. We encourage children to connect with nature, care for their surroundings and develop respect for the world around them.

Child-led Learning

• Engaging learning programs are child-led, inspired by the Reggio-Emilia philosophy and facilitated by a dedicated Curriculum Leader.
• Our teams are made up of passionate, sector leading degree qualified teachers, with all Educators diploma-qualified or holding a Cert III.
• Our unique curriculum is co-designed with families, experts and educators and builds upon the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to balance literacy, numeracy, creativity, health and confidence.
• Projects are guided by children’s interests, encouraging curiosity, creativity and engagement in learning.
• Our science program involves practical experiements that support hands-on discovery and problem solving.
• Our approach includes age-appropriate activities, with nursery and toddler children engaging in sensory and hands-on play and older children exploring more complex concepts and problem solving.

Exploring our local community

• We run regular excursions to visit our local park that provides children with the opportunity to explore and connect with nature.
• Our incursions with our local primary and high schools supports our Kindergarten children as they prepare to transition to school.
• Our children regularly engage in meaningful experiences, where they create and share artwork with others in the community, allowing children to contribute beyond the classroom.
• We visit local businesses, such as our nearby coffee shop, where children engage in shared community experiences.

Safety Every Day

At Nido, safety is part of every day. We follow national child-safe standards with strong leadership, rigorous recruitment, and ongoing training for everyone in our early schools. Our spaces are designed for clear supervision, and our policies are regularly reviewed to maintain the highest standards. Nothing matters more than creating safe and secure environments where children feel confident, and families place their full trust in our care.

Our Community

At Nido Rosanna, we value strong connections with our local community, building meaningful relationships that support children, families and educators.

Our community partnerships include organisations and services such as Big Group Hug, Rosanna Fire Station Community House, Mercy Hospital for Women, Barry Plant, Rosanna Primary School and Charles La Trove P-12 College.

We are always looking to build connections within our local community to further support children’s sense of belonging.
