Chalk Paint

Description:

Chalk paint is a quick and fun resource which children love! Combine 1 cup each of water and cornflour and stir well. The mixture will feel hard at first but will become liquid as you continue to stir. Pour into small containers and add food colouring with a toothpick or stick, stirring well until the colour is mixed through.

Promote learning by:

Children can assist in making the paint by measuring and stirring the water/cornflour mixture and choosing the colours that they would like to make. Older children could investigate using leaves, flowers and sticks in your garden to make natural colouring for their paint.
