Meet the team at Alkimos
Hi, we’re the leadership team at Nido Alkimos. We foster a safe and nurturing environment where play is at the centre of everything we do because it’s how children make sense of the world. We believe everyone, from children to educators to families, has a voice.
Our educators walk beside the children, ask questions, offer tools and share in the magic of discovery. We see each child as a co-creator of knowledge, and each educator as a guide and friend on the journey.
Children often tell us what matters most to them.
“I love climbing!
“We like to play and run!”
“I got messy today!”
“These are my friends.” – Children from Classroom Five
Why families choose Nido Alkimos
Every Day Matters at Nido Alkimos
Children often tell us what matters most to them.
We hear them, we design our days around their joy, curiosity and natural drive to explore. Play is at the centre of everything we do because it’s how children make sense of the world. Our spaces are carefully created to spark imagination, invite challenge and nurture calm moments too.
Our educators walk beside the children, noticing what lights them up. We ask questions, offer tools, and share in the magic of discovery. We see each child as a co-creator of knowledge, and each educator as a guide and friend on the journey.
Our nest is a place for everyone.
A place to belong.
A place to be seen.
A place to feel proud and grow together.

Safety Every Day
At Nido, safety is part of every day. We follow national child-safe standards with strong leadership, rigorous recruitment, and ongoing training for everyone in our early schools. Our spaces are designed for clear supervision, and our policies are regularly reviewed to maintain the highest standards. Nothing matters more than creating safe and secure environments where children feel confident, and families place their full trust in our care.
Our Community
Community is at the heart of Nido Alkimos. We have strong connections with our families and educators, and children. We are an active member of Alkimos community and have a strong partnership with the local school and recently had a visit from the local mayor which the children loved.

Changes to the Child Care Subsidy
The 3 Day Guarantee. What does it mean for your family enrolling in 2026?From 5 January 2026, the Australian Government is updating the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to guarantee at least 3 days of subsidised early childhood education and care per week. This means that all CCS-eligible families will receive at least 72 hours per fortnight (3 days/week) of subsidised childcare regardless of their work, study, or volunteering status.
Since Nido Early School is a government approved childcare provider, if you are eligible for CCS you will be entitled to the new 3 Day Child Care Subsidy Guarantee on your fees.
