Our beautiful Nido Maylands service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Educator to join our team. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and are passionate about delivering contemporary educational practices for our children, educators, and families.

As an Lead Educator in our nest, you will lead and develop the curriculum whilst actively encouraging children’s learning and development to support their strong sense of identity. You will receive dedicated support from the Early Childhood Teacher and Leadership team. This collaborative approach ensures that we all work together to deliver excellent educational practices to our children while creating an environment where you will rise and flourish. 

ABOUT THE SERVICE:
  • Caters for children from 6 weeks to five years old across 6 rooms and 3 stunning outdoor play areas as well as a piazza and an atelier
  • Close to the train station and bus stop for easy commute to work
  • Opening hours 6:30am-6:30pm
  • Long standing supportive team to guide you through your career progression
  • Utilise the Story Park platform, enriching our communication with families about their child's development and fostering a sense of active participation.

ABOUT YOU:
  • Hold Diploma in Early Childhood or working towards Diploma (essential for this role)
  • Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and ability to plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning programs
  • In-depth experience working in a childcare service 
  • Be confident in collaborating with parents and caregivers to support each child's individual needs and interests
  • Have strong communication and time-management skills 
  • A valid Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
