Meet the team behind Nido Maylands

My name is Viveka, and I manage the early learning programs at our Nido Maylands early learning centre. We’re proud to call it a space that does more than provide care; it’s a place where children, families and educators grow together. I look forward to welcoming you and answering any questions you may have.

Supporting growth through Reggio Emilia-inspired learning

At Nido Maylands, our educational philosophy recognises each child’s potential and individuality. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, providing open-ended learning opportunities that evolve with the child’s interests and developmental stages.

We offer childcare in Maylands that is active and social. Children explore materials, ideas and relationships through play. Our Curriculum Leader guides educators in designing thoughtful programs that incorporate visual arts, storytelling, group collaboration and outdoor discovery. We also use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards to ensure that every learning moment contributes to a child’s social, emotional and cognitive growth.
