Meet the Centre Manager

Welcome to Nido Early School Duncraig. My name is Amy Jones, Executive Service Manager. At our Duncraig early learning centre, we focus on building strong, respectful relationships with every child and supporting them through each stage of their creative development. We look forward to welcoming your family into our community.

Learning Programs

Our learning programs are guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where children are seen as capable, curious and full of potential. At our Duncraig childcare centre, we provide environments that encourage exploration and collaborative learning.

We follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and meet the National Quality Standards. These frameworks help us plan experiences that support development across all areas, including communication, emotional wellbeing, early literacy and social confidence.

Each Nido Early School in Australia has a Curriculum Leader who mentors educators and helps deliver consistent, high-quality learning experiences. Children with unique needs are supported through inclusive plans developed with families and, where needed, local support agencies.

If you’re looking for an educational daycare in Duncraig, we’d love to show you what makes Nido different.

  • Starting the day

Each morning, children are welcomed welcomed into the centre with calm, familiar routines. Educators greet each child individually and help them settle into the rhythm of the day.

  • Learning through play

Throughout the day, children explore a variety of learning experiences through play, group work and creative expression. Whether they’re painting, storytelling, cooking or spending time in the Piazza, children are encouraged to follow their interests with guidance from our educators.

  • Meals and daily care

Fresh meals are prepared on-site and designed to suit all dietary, allergen and cultural needs. Routines like sunscreen, rest time and handwashing are supported gently and consistently to build confidence and independence.

  • Culture and community

At our Duncraig early learning centre, our qualified educators create opportunities for children to connect with each other and the world around them. Shared experiences, cultural celebrations and creative projects foster a strong sense of identity and belonging.

  • Preparing for school

Children approaching school age are guided through experiences that help build routine, confidence and foundational skills. These include early numeracy, language and social readiness for a kindergarten program.

  • Afternoon quiet time

As the day slows, children participate in quiet time and play. Families are kept informed with updates about what their child explored and enjoyed at our Nido Duncraig childcare centre.
