What We offer
Meet the Centre Manager
Welcome to Nido Early School Butler. I’m Lauren Scott, Executive Service Manager. Our team is here to support your family from your first enquiry through to enrolment and beyond. Whether you’re seeking East Butler childcare, North Butler childcare or looking for a fresh start nearby, we’re proud to offer a nurturing space where children feel safe, supported and ready to explore.
Learning programs
At our early learning centre in Butler, we believe every child has the right to feel heard, respected and inspired. We take our lead from the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which encourages children to investigate, collaborate and learn through meaningful play.
Every Nido Early School follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and meets the National Quality Standards. These frameworks guide how we plan, teach and support every child across all areas, from building confidence and emotional regulation to supporting early literacy and numeracy.
Our early learning centre in Butler includes a Curriculum Leader who mentors our team and works closely with our Director of Education and Quality. This helps us maintain a consistent, high standard across our learning programs. Children who require extra support are welcomed with personalised plans developed in partnership with their families.

-
A gentle start to the day
Each morning at our Butler childcare centre begins with calm hellos and familiar faces. Children are invited into the day with relaxed, welcoming activities that help them settle in and feel at ease.
-
Child-led learning and play
Throughout the day, children take part in creative and sensory activities, group play and quiet time for focus. Whether they’re painting, cooking, building or exploring language, our educators follow each child’s interests and guide their development through intentional teaching moments.
-
Mealtimes and healthy habits
Children enjoy nourishing meals and snacks made fresh on-site at our Butler childcare centre. Menus are designed to meet all allergy, dietary and cultural needs. Our educators support daily care routines like rest, sunscreen and handwashing, helping children build healthy habits and confidence in their abilities.
-
Community, culture and connection
Every day includes moments for music, movement and community connection. From shared experiences in the Atelier and Piazza to cultural celebrations and rituals, children learn to value inclusion, empathy and belonging.
-
Ready for the next step
Children nearing school age at our early learning centre in Butler are introduced to experiences that build independence, routine and early academic skills. These include group projects, early literacy, numeracy and social skills that support a confident transition into a kindergarten program.
-
Afternoon reflection
As the day winds down, children enjoy slower activities and some quiet time. Families receive updates about their child’s day, helping them stay connected to their child’s learning progress.
