Every Day
- Our activities such as water play, cause and effect toys, early science experiments and rich dramatic play enrich learning opportunities and create meaningful experiences.
- We partner with our local high school, where Year 10 visits weekly as part of their community learning programs and engage in play, reading, gardening and group experiences.
Meet the team at Hammond Park
At our service, we prioritise having a calm, respectful and collaborative approach to children’s learning. We truly see children as capable, and this is reflected in our environments, our language, and the trust we place in their ideas. By focusing on creating a sense of belonging, children are known, valued and supported to grow at their own pace. Our educators work collaboratively, reflect regularly and stay aligned in their practice, which creates a consistent and nurturing experience for families and children.
Here from our leadership team
Hi, I’m Lisa, the Executive Service Manager at Nido Hammond Park. I have worked in early childhood for more than 15 years. I am passionate about creating learning environments that feel calm, intentional, and meaningful – places where children feel known, respected, and genuinely understood. I believe deeply in child-led learning, responsive teaching, and the idea that every child brings their own wisdom and identity with them.
Hi I’m Tara- Lee, the Curriculum Leader and Early Childhood Teacher at Nido Hammond Park. I have been working with children for 10 years now and I absolutely love being able to teach children the ways of the world and I take joy in seeing their faces light up when they figure things out in their world.
Hi, I’m Skye James, the Family Advocate at Nido Hammond Park. My favourite activity to enjoy with our children is sensory explorations and messy play. I also love the idea of “100 Languages” as it provides children with diverse ways to express themselves, share their thoughts, and explore their understanding of the world.

Child-led Learning
- Engaging learning programs are child-led, inspired by the Reggio-Emilia philosophy and facilitated by a dedicated Curriculum Leader.
- Our teams are made up of passionate, sector leading degree qualified teachers, with all Educators diploma-qualified or holding a Cert III.
- Our unique curriculum is co-designed with families, experts and educators and builds upon the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to balance literacy, numeracy, creativity, health and confidence.
- In our STEM programs, we use loose part construction, water and sand play and gardening to encourage problem solving.
- Social-emotional learning is supported through emotion coaching, small group conversations, turn-taking games and rich dramatic play.
- Environmental learning happens through caring for plants, recycling and re-using materials, spending mindful time outdoors, curiosity and respect for the natural world.
