Why we recommend this book:

Winner of the Picture Book of the Year 2018 Honours, Mopoke is a visually stunning book which is a joy to read to children. The books tells the story of a little owl’s search to find peace and uses as little words as possible which will allow your child’s imagination run wild!

Promote learning by:

As there are so few words on each page, slow down and let your child discuss the images and make their own interpretations (inferences) of what the story is about. The ability to make inferences from images is an important skill for literacy development.  Parents can support this by asking “what do you think that this picture is about?”
