Spray Bottle Painting Outdoors

Description:

This activity has been recommended by our Nido Early School Dandenong South Curriculum Leader, Kesley Kustreba.

This experience is best engaged in the outdoor environment, using thoroughly cleaned spray bottles add some coloured paint of your child’s choosing. Then slowly add some water and spray into your basin until you have achieved an appropriate consistency.

Go outdoors and use the bottle to begin spraying the paint onto the paper, children should be able to see splatters across their page.

Promote learning by:

Engage children in the mixing process, this will encourage exploration of different medians. Ask questions such as “What does the paint look like?”, “Why do you think it looks likes this?”, support them in finding the answers this promotes inquiry-based learning.
