Go outside with your child and ask;
“What can you hear?”
“What can you see?”

Promote learning by:

This is a great learning experience which can be extended in many ways depending on your child’s interests. Encourage your child to create observational drawings of what they find in the garden, support your child to identify the correct names for native birds and plants, provide paper and a clipboard for your child to create a ‘list’ of what they find, or simply allow your child to ‘be’ and connect in with nature in your backyard.
