Celebrating Jas Kaur’s Win in the Care for Kids ‘Thank You Educators’ Campaign
Nido are thrilled to announce that one of our dedicated educators from Nido Mount Hawthorn, Jashanpreet Kaur (Jas), has been named a winner in Care for Kids’ ‘Thank You Educators’ campaign. This campaign highlights the incredible work of early childhood educators across Australia, and we couldn’t be prouder to see Jas recognised for her passion and commitment to nurturing young minds.
Jas’s journey into early childhood education is unique and inspiring. Having started her career as a trained pharmacist, she made the bold decision to follow her true passion—working with children. While her healthcare background gives her a unique perspective on supporting development, it’s her genuine warmth, creativity, and ability to foster a positive learning environment that truly sets her apart at Nido Mount Hawthorn.
“I’m so honoured to be acknowledged in Care for Kids’ ‘Thank You Educators’ campaign. Every day, I feel privileged to be part of each child’s growth journey. Seeing them progress and experience joy motivates me, and being able to shape their early years is incredibly rewarding,” shared Jas, who leads the nursery as a Diploma Educator and Room Leader.
Jas’s impact has been felt not just within the Nido community but by families as well. Her nurturing approach, deep connections with children, and dedication to holistic development were all key reasons why both parents and the Nido team nominated her for the award.
“Jas’s recognition is so well-deserved,” said Eimear Lancaster, Executive Service Manager at Nido Mount Hawthorn. “She embodies the spirit of Nido, bringing a sense of family and community to everything she does. Her commitment to nurturing each child’s unique potential is something we all admire.”
The Care for Kids campaign shines a spotlight on educators like Jas, who create environments where children feel valued, supported, and inspired. Grace Hurley, Head of Sales at Care for Kids, added “Jas’s dedication to early childhood education truly reflects the essence of what our campaign is about.”
Drawing from her close-knit Indian family background, Jas brings a deep sense of care and connection to her work at Nido. As a well-deserved reward for her contributions, Jas will enjoy a luxury weekend away, a small token of appreciation for the tremendous impact she makes every day.
At Nido, we believe that early education is about more than just teaching—it’s about shaping futures. Jas is a shining example of how our educators help make this a reality.
