What is the Nido Kindergarten Curriculum?
Our Kindergarten Curriculum has been thoughtfully developed in partnership with families, sector experts and our remarkable teachers.
Our curriculum offers a rich and balanced program that builds a lifelong love of learning and fosters essential skills and knowledge to ensure a smooth pathway into primary school.
The curriculum has 7 learning branches. These branches have been carefully designed to reflect the learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, grounded in evidence-based research and inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

School readiness
What is school readiness and why is it important?
School readiness is about more than just reading and writing. Research shows that children need strong social and emotional wellbeing to thrive academically. Through a play-based approach, our program helps children build confidence, connection and the foundational skills they need for lifelong learning.
The Nido Kindergarten Curriculum nurtures creativity, problem-solving, self-expression, and emerging literacy and numeracy – preparing children for a smooth, confident transition to school.
Learning and Development Reports for your child
Twice a year, your classroom teacher will provide you with a Nido Kindergarten Summary of Learning and Development report. This report communicates your child’s progress towards the five learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Nido Kindergarten Curriculum. The EYLF learning outcomes are:

3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
