Meet the team at East Victoria Park
We go beyond simply providing quality early education as we endeavor to create a true “home away from home” where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore their world. Here at Nido East Victoria Park, we feel privileged and excited to play such a vital role in each child’s learning journey, supporting and guiding them to reach their full potential every day. Meet our leadership team.
Hi, I’m Elline, the Executive Service Manager at Nido East Victoria Park. From a very young age I kind of had an inkling and knowing that I wanted to work with children, so I pursued it. Originally from Sydney I moved to Perth in 2014 and began my career as a trainee and I instantly fell in love with my job. I have worked my way up from being a Trainee to Assistant Director, Lead Educator, Curriculum Leader, Assistant Director and now Director.
Hi, I’m Robyn, the service administrator at Nido East Victoria Park. My passion is providing children with the opportunity to develop, grow, and have the best possible start in life and being a witness to the amazing learning that happens. I believe in ensuring family and children have a secure and inclusive space where they feel that belong and are confident in our ability to provide them with quality care.
Hi, I’m Michelle, the Curriculum Leader at Nido East Victoria Park. I am a big child at heart and I so love being around children each and every day. My favorite part about Nido is being able to engage with the children across all rooms, being that familiar face that supports a child’s learning journey from nursery all the way to Kindy.
What to expect at Nido
Child-led Learning
- Engaging learning programs are child-led, inspired by the Reggio-Emilia philosophy and facilitated by a dedicated Curriculum Leader.
- Our teams are made up of passionate, sector leading degree qualified teachers, with all Educators diploma-qualified or holding a Cert III.
- Our unique curriculum is co-designed with families, experts and educators and builds upon the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to balance literacy, numeracy, creativity, health and confidence.
- Gardening is supported across all classrooms and age groups. In nursery, our babies begin with touching the soil, smelling herbs and exploring appropriate gardening tools Toddlers recycle water from cups at mealtime for our growing herbs and use plants material in and our Kindy children plan what plants to grow and document plant development.
- Our yoga programs range from simple poses and animal inspired movement that elicits early body awareness in toddlers and guided flows, mindfulness and discussions about self-regulation in our Kindy classrooms.
