Service Manager
Hi, my name is Rachel and I am the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Shepparton.
I have had a strong passion for education since I was a little girl playing ‘schools’ with my sister and cousin. I have followed my passion and worked in education for 15 years, evolving through various roles. After earning a Bachelor of Education in 2013, I devoted nearly a decade to a primary school education before delving into further educational pursuits with a Master of Education in 2020. Last year [2023], I made the jump to Early Childhood Education, becoming the Kindergarten Teacher here at Busy Bees at Shepparton.
In the unique landscape of early childhood, I’ve discovered the profound strength in the partnerships forged between educators and families. By cultivating a supportive community, I aim to allow all children to feel welcomed and accepted, as well as instill a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
Beyond the classroom, I am a trained reformer pilates instructor and find joy in the gym. My culinary passion thrives through baking and experimenting with new recipes. I love to bake treats for my friends and family.
The educators are so kind and attentive, and admin and management staff are lovely. The centre uses an app that parents have access to that records sleeps, food/bottles and nappy changes so you can check in without calling every 2 minutes. They also post photos and reports of what your child has been up to. That alone has helped with the stress of returning to work. The food they eat sounds amazing and I enjoy checking in via the app to see what they've had for lunch every day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this centre to anyone.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
