Current State COVID-19 Status

State Government Restrictions Early School Status
VIC As of 11:59pm on Thursday 9 September, restrictions have now lifted in regional Victoria (except for Geelong, the Surf Coast and Mitchell Shire who all entered a 7 day lockdown at 11.59pm on Sunday 19 September). As of 11.59pm on Wednesday 22 September, Ballarat ended it’s 7 day lockdown.

Victorians who have been residing in a NSW Local Government Border Area for at least the 14 days from Wednesday, 25 August to Wednesday 8 September 2021, will be able to apply for a new permit exemption category to come home. Metropolitan Melbourne however still remains with stay at home orders until 70% of the population over 16 years of age has received two doses of the vaccine, predicted to be by 26 October.

Nido Early schools open. Childcare services can now only be accessed by a permit system; only essential workers will have access to childcare. This change will apply across the state. Please see link to parent communications as this is changing daily.
